Synopsis
"When you´ve lost everything, you have no choice but to find yourself."
Selkirk, a rebellious and selfish Scot, is the pilot of "Hope", an English galleon that sails the southern seas in search of treasures. In the absence of enemy ships, the privateers entertain themselves with bets and, before long, Selkirk has fleeced the others of their past and future savings, thus earning the enmity of the crew and, most especially, of Captain Bullock, who decides to abandon him on a desert island.
There he must forget about his desire for revenge and his problems only amount to finding a ripe fruit or being able to light a modest fire.
Four years later, when rescued, he must make decisions that will test his new way of seeing the world.
