SYNOPSIS

She was born in the 1920s to one of the country's most powerful families, and her upbringing made her a beautiful, devoted, and—above all—silent wife. She began directing at almost 60 and went on to make six films. She toured festivals, won awards, and earned an Oscar nomination. I worked with her for a decade, and days before her death, we recorded a series of conversations that reveal her perspective on film and her arduous journey. This documentary follows her steps.
